Job summary

Cirtec Medical, a leading contract development and manufacturing organization, seeks an Operational Excellence Manager to drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives across manufacturing operations in Lowell, MA. This role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and optimizing capacity while aligning with business objectives.

Ideal candidates will bring 5–7 years in manufacturing or operational excellence, Black Belt certification, and strong leadership across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years of manufacturing or operational excellence experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; medical device experience is a plus.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience; Black Belt certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and project management skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop staffing, equipment, capacity, and space plans.
• Lead production line design, layout improvements, capacity planning, and ramp-up activities for new and existing programs.
• Develop, monitor, and report key operational performance metrics.
• Identify and lead cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, SMED, and other continuous improvement tools.
• Review production processes, schedules, workflows, and engineering requirements to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and productivity.
• Lead initiatives to optimize labor, material, overhead, equipment utilization, and manufacturing flow while maintaining quality standards.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and senior leadership to resolve manufacturing challenges and implement improvements.
• Provide leadership and direction for operational excellence initiatives across departments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality requirements, and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, optimize capacity, and support business objectives. This role provides leadership in applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies to improve processes, production flow, equipment utilization, and overall manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced Excel skills preferred.

Salary Range:

$100,000- 145,000
