Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking a CI Lead Intern to partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and other teams to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The role leads hands-on projects, develops standard work, and coaches teams in Lean/Six Sigma problem solving on a California site.

The position emphasizes on-floor data gathering, Six Sigma practice, and training responsibilities, with flexibility to support multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred but not required.
• HS Diploma and technical training required.
• Strong/advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills preferred.
• AM Step 2 qualified or demonstrate expertise in CIL and 6W-2H.
• Willingness to become Centerline Management System qualified within one month.
• Willingness to become Green Belt qualified within one year.

Responsibilities

• Study statements and project information to identify productivity, profitability, quality and cost-improvement opportunities.
• Establish labor utilization standards by analyzing work samples.
• Analyze data to improve utilization of people and equipment and reduce waste.
• Recommend methods to improve efficiency and reduce material/utility waste.
• Provide technical and problem-solving support to departments; suggest improvements.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver improvements with minimal disruption.
• Coach others to plan, develop, and execute CI projects delivering savings.
• Facilitate line loss analysis and throughput improvement plans.
• Lead transformation analysis and centerline development.
• Analyze daily data to identify loss-elimination opportunities.
• Support audits, safety activities, and sanitary design teams as required.
• Spend time on the floor to observe stops and changeovers.
• Develop countermeasures for outages and pair with maintenance for sporadic losses.
