Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer for our Erwin, TN site to lead cross-functional process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. You will drive DMAIC/Kaizen initiatives, map value streams, and translate data into tangible KPI lifts.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 5+ years in CI in manufacturing, and strong leadership and communication skills to influence stakeholders and sustain gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with ≥5 years in CI in manufacturing.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and build relationships.
• Proficient in Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC/PDCA) to drive solutions.
• Strong communication skills to inform leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured process improvement projects using DMAIC and Lean methods.
• Identify opportunities across value streams aligned with site KPIs.
• Plan Kaizen events; document results and follow through on actions.
• Partner with functional leaders to define customer value and improve processes.
• Apply data-driven problem solving to determine root causes and validate solutions.
• Utilize Value Stream Mapping to analyze workflows and non-value-added steps.
