Job summary

Penn United Technologies is seeking a Project Manager I to join the Production Operations team in Cabot, PA. You will manage project activities, coordinate with operations, engineering, manufacturing, and quality, and serve as the primary contact for customers.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in project management and customer relations, plus a bachelor’s degree in process engineering or business management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and customer relations.
• Bachelor's degree in process engineering / business management, or related equivalent experience.
• Ability to integrate knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials, company capabilities and customer needs.
• Ability to lead and manage people, schedules and multiple projects.
• Solid understanding and experienced application of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Ability to quickly learn and use required computer software effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills, self-motivated, able to effectively manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to relate to colleagues at various skill levels. Commited to team development, and product and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned project activities, coordinate activities with operations, engineering/prototype, manufacturing, and quality.
• Take responsibility for and manage the full project life cycle from validation to delivery of product.
• Perform contract review duties for the assigned customer.
• Provide daily contact with customers via portals, email, phone, etc.
• Conduct supplier research and communication for problem solving.
• Drive team focus to meet goals and ensure tasks move forward and commitments are met.
• Create estimation models and cost/budget for projects.
• Focus on lean manufacturing throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review estimated costs vs actual costs with leadership.
• Direct customer service functions, including inquiries and complaints, via the customer portal.
