Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a Lean practitioner to lead and support Lean initiatives at the Business Unit or Project level. You will work daily with project teams implementing the Last Planner System, 5S, and Visual Management to drive project success and continuous improvement.

You will coach teams, develop standard work, and facilitate Lean trainings regionally and nationally, with extensive travel as required. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of five years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred Last Planner System project experience; BIM experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Lean culture development at the Business Unit or Project level.
• Work daily with teams using the Last Planner System mechanics.
• Provide insight and strategic alignment to the business.
• Support successful project launches using Launch Matrix.
• Facilitate standard work and Lean training regionally and nationally.
• Create and sustain Visual Management, LPS, 5S at projects.
• Lead improvement initiatives through workshops, coaching and training.
• Travel as required.
