Job summary

nVent is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing teams and drive Lean improvements in a dynamic environment in the United States. The role focuses on training, mentoring, and sustaining daily production commitments while pursuing efficiency gains.

Responsibilities include coordinating production activities, safeguarding a safe workplace, and overseeing payroll hours weekly. The position supports new process development and key improvement projects with a strong emphasis on lean

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience, with leadership preferred.
• 2+ years Lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead production employees, including training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring on performance.
• Look after day-to-day production activities to ensure commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.
• Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily.
• Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of Lean methodologies.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazards, and support safety programs.
• Review and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed.
• Support new process and product development and implementation.
• Develops key improvement projects and fulfills related duties as needed.
