Job summary

Rogers Machinery Company, Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking a Production Supervisor to drive Lean improvements on the shop floor and lead a team of technicians. You will coordinate schedules, establish standard work, and partner with Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to ensure on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes safety, accountability, and hands-on problem solving, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making and KPI analysis using Excel.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years minimum experience in machine manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, lead, and inspire team members.
• Continuous improvement experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Spend at least 95% of time on the production floor observing work and removing obstacles.
• Establish SOPs and standard work for assembly procedures and safety.
• Monitor schedules to meet target completion dates and communicate issues.
• Promote accountability, safety, and teamwork across the assembly team.
• Lead problem solving and assist with technical troubleshooting.
• Use Excel to create, maintain, and analyze production KPIs.
• Lead process-mapping and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to resolve challenges.
• Maintain efficient, cost-effective product flow to hit delivery targets.
• Champion 6S implementation and team participation.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring technicians.
