Job summary

Astec is seeking a production supervisor to lead and supervise manufacturing, ensuring products meet quality standards and production plans are met at minimum cost. You will assign personnel, implement corrective measures, and drive lean initiatives across the team.

The role requires 3+ years in supervision in heavy manufacturing, strong Excel and Lean knowledge, and the ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and BOMs. Safety and collaboration are essential in this environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 yrs experience as a supervisor or operator in heavy manufacturing.
• Minimum 1+ years’ experience in Microsoft Excel and lean continuous improvement.
• Must be able to read a tape measure, blueprints, and bills of material (BOMs).
• Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and plan people and resources to meet production/maintenance schedules while upholding safety and quality standards.
• Prepare and monitor the production floor for daily production/maintenance and adjust for unscheduled demand.
• Facilitate communication between management and operators and share safety focus and targets.
• Mentor new employees, support training efforts, and coach staff.
