Job summary

Saft America, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily assembly operations, coordinating labor, materials, and equipment to meet the production plan safely and efficiently.

The role develops assemblers and technicians while driving continuous improvement and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance across a high-mix manufacturing environment. You will partner with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve issues, support new product introductions,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands on assembly experience
• 2+ years supervising production teams in high-mix or special product manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Lead daily assembly operations across all assigned workstations and align labor, equipment, and priorities to the production plan
• Plan shift start-up, work allocation, line changeovers, and handovers
• Monitor shop floor performance in real time and take timely corrective action when output, yield, scrap, or downtime deviates from plan
• Enforce PPE, lockout-tagout, safe material handling, ergonomics, and applicable OSHA/ISO requirements
• Ensure product quality and lead first-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
• Manage, coach, and evaluate assemblers and technicians
• Maintain accurate, current production records in ERP/MES and controlled documents
• Drive continuous improvement and coordinate kitting, material availability, inventory accuracy, and shortage recovery
• Control production costs within assigned authority
