Job summary

Staffmark Group in Florence, KY is seeking a Production Supervisor (Direct Hire) to lead daily manufacturing operations on the floor, manage a diverse team of operators and welders, and keep safety, quality, and on-time delivery at the forefront.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing or supervision, a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, and a working knowledge of lean principles; SAP is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing or supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience in heavy equipment manufacturing or steel fabrication preferred.
• Strong knowledge of welding, cutting, forming, fit-up, assembly, blueprint reading, and dimensional inspection.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing and production operations
• Lead, train, and support machine operators, welders, assemblers, and production staff
• Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are achieved
• Troubleshoot production issues, equipment malfunctions, and workflow bottlenecks
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following OSHA and company safety standards
• Conduct quality inspections and audits on materials, in-process work, and finished products
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve non-conformance issues, customer complaints, and warranty claims
• Analyze production and quality data to identify opportunities for improvement
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, standard work, visual management, and waste reduction
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Assist with continuous improvement projects throughout the facility
