Job summary

Justrite Safety Group is seeking a Production Supervisor in Mattoon, IL to oversee day-to-day plant manufacturing operations and ensure on-time shipping, cost control, and quality. You will implement safety programs, mentor a union workforce, and report to the Operations Manager.

You will drive continuous improvement through 5S, SMED, and Kaizen events while building a strong safety culture and aligning with company goals. This role offers growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• A.S. in a technical or management field required.
• 2 years supervisory experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles including 5S, SMED, and Gemba.

Responsibilities

• Direct production lines to meet shift production goals; coordinate start-up, shut-downs, and changes.
• Oversee operational training of new and existing employees and address safety, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
• Staff scheduling including assignments, vacations, overtime, and meetings.
• Conduct safety audits and toolbox talks; enforce PPE and ergonomic policies.
• Develop and present forecasts, productivity, and safety reports; lead process audits and corrective actions.
• Identify and lead Kaizen events related to 5S, standard work, SMED and process flow.
