Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner to ensure Lean manufacturing planning and timely production order follow‑ups. You will analyze work center loads, verify inventories, and collaborate with Operations, Product Engineering, purchasing, and customer service to expedite schedules and prepare production reports.

The role requires 5+ years in production planning, SAP/Kanban expertise, and strong communication skills. An Associate degree with business emphasis is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to plan production in Lean environment.
• Requires 5+ years of production planning experience.
• Experience with SAP and Kanban systems.
• Understanding of labor reporting and inventory concepts.
• Blueprint reading proficiency.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Associates degree in business or related field.

Responsabilités

• Review customer demand and provide feedback to Customer Service and Sales teams.
• Determine quantities and availability of materials; oversee release of shop orders.
• Proactively communicate scheduling issues and opportunities to meet deliveries.
• Confer with department supervisors to determine status of scheduled work.
• Act as information hub for issues impacting delivery schedules.
• Expedite operations that delay schedules and adjust schedules for unforeseen conditions.
• Interface with purchasing to expedite problem parts and reschedule material deliveries.
• Close shop orders and manage material movements; perform inventory adjustments.
• Communicate production issues to various departments; support cross‑plant teams and projects.
• Engage with shop floor personnel on issues and improvements.
• Maintain performance management system for direct reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
