Job summary

Primex Plastics Corporation seeks a dedicated Continuous Improvement Leader to guide Lean initiatives across safety, quality, and operational performance. You will lead a team of 12, coach staff, and drive improvements in OEE, throughput, and lead times within a safety-focused culture.

The role requires strong data analysis, root-cause problem solving, and knowledge of OSHA and quality systems. A strategic, hands-on leader will strengthen performance and compliance across the plant.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Demonstrated success leading safety initiatives and fostering a strong safety culture.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices.
• Ability to analyze operational data and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience driving improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, and overall operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Support team and employee development to strengthen performance and capabilities.
• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development for a team of 12 direct reports, setting clear expectations.
• Promote a safety-first culture focused on employee health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Develop and implement improvement plans to increase OEE, throughput, quality, lead time, and inventory performance.
• Maintain KPI dashboards and use performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems and customer requirements.
• Drive improvements in product quality and process capability.
• Lead efforts to reduce defects, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
