Job summary

Primex Plastics Corporation, headquartered in Richmond, Indiana, is seeking a manufacturing leader to drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, and operations. You will oversee a team of about 60 production employees and lead initiatives to improve efficiency, OEE, and customer satisfaction in a multi-facility setting.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, strong leadership, and a safety-first mindset, with a focus on reducing defects and enabling reliable production

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Proven experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Demonstrated success leading safety initiatives and fostering a strong safety culture.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices.
• Ability to analyze operational data and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Provide direct leadership, coaching, and development for a team of 12 direct reports.
• Promote a safety-first culture focused on employee health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Develop and implement improvement plans to increase OEE, throughput, quality, lead time, and inventory performance.
• Maintain KPI dashboards and use performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems and customer requirements.
• Drive improvements in product quality and process capability.
• Lead efforts to reduce defects, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
