Job summary

Lucas Milhaupt, part of Steel Partners Diversified Industrial Group, seeks an SBS Intern to learn and contribute in material joining and Lean-driven improvements. The role involves safety program participation, process observation, and developing training materials with engineers and operators.

You will help review training content, track progress, and support multiple lean initiatives across the department, gaining broad hands-on exposure.

Qualifications

• Lean principles and safety rules familiarity.
• Ability to create and revise training documents.
• Observation of processes to identify improvements.
• Assist in developing training materials with engineers and operators.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in safety program and policies.
• Participate in Lean activities driving improvements, quality, productivity, and safety updates.
• Observe and video record processes.
• Work with Engineers, VSMs, and Operators to create training documentation.
• Review and edit training materials such as Job Breakdowns and troubleshooting trees.
• Monitor progress of training material creation.
• All other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
