Job summary

Wells Concrete is seeking a motivated engineering student for a Continuous Improvement role focused on Lean practices, Six Sigma, and data-driven optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze operations, track KPIs, and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Strong interest in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
• Basic experience with data analysis tools, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and cross-functional improvement projects.
• Assist in developing and tracking KPIs for operational performance.
• Participate in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities.
• Help implement standardized work instructions and best practices across operations.
• Support cost reduction initiatives related to materials, labor, and process efficiency.
• Conduct time studies and industrial engineering evaluations.
• Maintain documentation for continuous improvement projects.
