Job summary

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong interest in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
  • Basic experience with data analysis tools, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Continuous Improvement Engineer supports facility-wide initiatives focused on improving safety, quality, efficiency, and cost performance. This role provides hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization by working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze operations and implement improvements. The position is designed to develop foundational skills in industrial engineering and continuous improvement methodologies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assist with new product introductions and process change implementation
  • Maintain documentation for continuous improvement projects, including reports and action plans
  • Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated engineering student with a strong interest in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement. They are analytical, curious, and eager to learn how data-driven decision-making improves operational performance. This individual works well in teams, takes initiative, and is excited to contribute to real-world process improvement projects that impact safety, quality, and efficiency.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • Strong interest in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologiesBasic experience with data analysis tools, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Occasional visits to active plant and field locations are required based on operational needs.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas.
  • May be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and other standard industrial hazards.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, as well as noise, dust, and vibration.
