Job summary

Generac Power Systems seeks a Continuous Improvement Engineer II to lead and coach lean initiatives across the value stream in a manufacturing environment. You will hands-on apply lean tools, develop standard work, and mentor teams to drive waste elimination and performance gains.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 3 years of CI/Lean experience, with strong coaching abilities and experience implementing Kanban, PFEP, and flow principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• 3 years of Continuous Improvement or Lean Engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Coach and lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles and the Generac Manufacturing System (GMS).
• Coach others to develop and implement Continuous Improvement solutions to solve complex process issues.
• Develop, document, and implement standard work to provide a basis of continuous improvement.
• Mentor and guide facility team members and peers in the understanding, use and implementation of Lean principles and tools.
• Participate in the implementation of standards and programs with the corporate Continuous Improvement team and facility strategic plans.
