Job summary

HandyTube Corporation, a Camden, Delaware-based seamless tubing manufacturer, seeks a Process Engineer to optimize our manufacturing processes. You will design, implement, and monitor equipment and process improvements with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering background, 2+ years in manufacturing, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems to document routings and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in Excel (intermediate to advanced).
• Experience applying continuous improvement tools to improve operations.
• Experience using ERP systems to analyze machine and staff performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Experience with HandyTube continuous improvement system and standard work is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; physical capability.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety as the priority for all HandyTube employees.
• Research and develop manufacturing equipment needs.
• Develop and implement process improvements to optimize equipment operation.
• Monitor existing equipment for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure materials and production procedures meet industry specs and revisions.
• Reviews orders for conformity with customer and industry requirements.
• Utilize ERP system to maintain routings and documentation.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Collect, interpret, and report data related to process improvements.
• Assist with purchase and installation of new equipment.
• Assist with equipment and process risk assessment.
• Maintain current production best practices.
• Reduce downtime and scrap by improving equipment condition and operation.
• Be able to estimate production costs.
• Complete projects on time and within budget.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
