Job summary

Associates Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer in the United States. The role focuses on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve safety, efficiency, and productivity on the production floor.

Responsibilities include applying lean CPI initiatives, identifying bottlenecks, collecting data, and performing statistical analyses. You will champion Kaizen events and produce process flowcharts, travelers, and work instructions.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Process, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proven CPI/lean manufacturing experience in lean environment.
• Experience leading or participating in Kaizen events.
• Strong independence and problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency with statistical tools to monitor processes.
• Experience generating PFMEAs.
• Familiarity with soldering, brazing, welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Develops and optimizes manufacturing processes to improve safety, efficiency and effectiveness on the production floor.
• Uses lean manufacturing principles as part of CPI initiatives.
• Identifies bottlenecks and waste in production processes.
• Creates metrics by collecting production data and applying statistical analyses.
• Champions Kaizen events to improve productivity.
• Documents and generates process flowcharts, process travelers, and work instructions.
• Calculates workspace requirements and designs strategies to optimize the facility layout.
