Under coaching from engineering and operations leaders, you will collect data, apply root-cause analysis, and implement practical countermeasures. This internship focuses on safety, quality, delivery, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field.
• Interest in manufacturing operations, Lean, or continuous improvement.
• Willingness to learn and apply structured problem-solving methods.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the production floor to learn product, equipment, and process flow.
• Work with operators and supervisors to identify daily pain points and waste.
• Support targets for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity; track progress.
• Investigate missed targets, bottlenecks, disruptions, quality, and ergonomic concerns.
• Collect and analyze production data; establish performance baselines.
• Use root-cause analysis to identify issues and propose countermeasures.
• Improve standard work, 5S, visual controls, and material flow; update documentation.
• Coordinate cross-functional improvements with maintenance, quality, materials, and engineering.
• Own appropriately scoped improvement projects and communicate progress and risks.
