AP Emissions Technologies, part of Marmon Holdings, invites a Process Engineer Co-op to join our manufacturing environment in North Carolina. You will gain hands-on shop-floor experience, work with operators, and support improvements in safety, quality, and throughput.

Under guidance from engineering and operations, you will collect data, document baseline performance, and lead scoped improvement projects using lean methods.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate degree in a related engineering field.
• Interest in manufacturing operations, Lean, or continuous improvement.
• Comfort working hands-on in a production environment.
• Ability to organize and analyze data with Excel.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Curiosity, initiative to follow problems through to resolution.
• Ability to manage several responsibilities while keeping stakeholders informed.
• Previous manufacturing or Lean experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the production floor to learn flow and targets.
• Work with operators to identify daily pain points and wastes.
• Support tracking of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Investigate missed targets, bottlenecks, disruptions, and quality issues.
• Collect and analyze production data and establish baselines.
• Apply root-cause analysis to propose countermeasures.
• Improve standard work, visual controls, and material flow.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for improvements.
• Own scoped improvement projects and communicate progress.
