Job summary

Socket.dev in South Carolina is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead and mentor associates, champion ISO and LEAN based workflows, and drive robust process improvements across the facility.

You will design jig and fixture upgrades, establish data collection systems, analyze metrics, and partner with engineering and operations to ensure smooth transitions from design to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or related experience in engineering role.
• Minimum of 5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing improvement projects in a manufacturing setting.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD/CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Initiates process improvements using continuous improvement techniques to reduce waste, cycle time, and costs.
• Establish systems for data collection and use data to drive improvements across departments.
• Increase manufacturing capability through new and existing equipment and lean initiatives.
• Lead product design transitions from customer design to manufacturing and support internal projects.
• Design and implement jig/fixture improvements, gaging upgrades, and flow enhancements.
• Authorize and maintain manufacturing process sheets and provide technical assistance.
• Other duties as assigned.
