Job summary

FXI Auburn, IN seeks a Process & Continuous Improvement (LEAN) Engineer to lead capital projects and lean initiatives, improving throughput, quality and equipment reliability. You will manage projects from scoping to commissioning and hand-off, acting as a bridge between engineering, maintenance and manufacturing.

The role supports a 24/5 operation, owns the site capital plan, drives value stream mapping, 5S, kaizen, standard work, and root cause analysis, and provides technical support across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years of manufacturing shop floor experience.
• Capital project scoping, cost estimating, installation and commissioning.
• Structured problem solving (A3, DMAIC, 5-Why) and LEAN methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop capital project justifications, scopes, costs, and schedules.
• Lead LEAN activities like value stream mapping, 5S, standard work, and kaizen.
• Apply problem solving to reduce downtime, scrap and downtime losses.
• Document changes and update SOPs, flows, and layouts.
