Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Durham, NC seeks a Specialist, Business Consulting to drive the Manufacturing Production System, improve processes, and develop people for safe, high-quality, low-cost production with fast lead times.

You will partner with Integrated Process Teams, Centers of Excellence, and production teams to transfer best practices, apply analytics, and enable sustainable improvements across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering, operations, or related field.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies.
• Ability to interact with senior leadership and operational teams.
• Strong coaching and teaching skills to spread best practices.

Responsibilities

• Coach and partner with teams to develop a sustainable lean manufacturing environment.
• Prioritize and standardize processes, materials, and information management across value streams.
• Collaborate with production on shop floor issues and implement standardized communication tools.
