Job summary

gategroup seeks a Lean Manufacturing Analyst to analyze material and information flows for the operations unit, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, material consumption, costs, quality, safety and space utilization.

You will lead continuous improvement initiatives with Lean methods, standardize processes, coach staff, and partner with management to implement changes; travel up to 50% in a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Business Economics, Science, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum four (4) years’ Lean Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer experience.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing or catering environment preferred.
• Experience leading projects across organizations and improving safety, quality and cost drivers.
• Lean techniques including JIT, 5S, value stream mapping, Kanban preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and guides Unit management in productivity, material, waste, safety, and quality improvement initiatives; analyzes material and information flows; quantifies effects of improved processes.
• Supports continuous process improvements utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles to maximize efficiencies, minimize waste and improve safety.
• Responsible for gateOPEX standardization program rollout.
• Communicates with unit management on implementation of changes.
• Maintains Production System road maps and blueprints.
• Performs diagnostics on major cost drivers (material, labor, OOC).
• Proposes improvements and supports management in change process.
• Participates in the Unit’s performance management and liaises with Continuous Improvement resources.
• Proposes and keeps up with Best Practices and benchmarking initiatives.
• Coaches Continuous Improvement staff and leads training sessions.
• Trains and builds Lean capability across the plant.
• Works on related training materials and collaborates to improve them.
• Uses Lean tools such as 8 Waste, takt-flow-pull, VSM, Kanban, FIFO, 5S.
• Engages with other sites for cross-fertilization.
