Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Material Flow Supervisor for an on-site role in Columbia, SC. You will supervise daily material flow, support receiving, inventory, picking and shipping, and direct logistics services to meet production needs.

You will implement lean management practices, maintain records, and coordinate with carriers and 3PLs while developing warehouse processes and ensuring compliance with regulations. Strong leadership and analytics are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering preferred.
• APICS CPIM certification or commitment to obtain within 18 months of employment.
• 1-5 years of experience in integrated manufacturing functions.
• Experience with inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates daily material flow activities at the site to ensure production needs.
• Supports receiving, inventory, picking, and shipping operations.
• Directs receiving, warehousing, and distribution services and supervises staff.
• Determine shipment methods, routes, and rates; maintain records and logs.
• Manage relationships with logistics providers and 3PLs.
• Develop warehouse operation systems for receiving, inventory management, and shipping.
