Badger Meter in Milwaukee is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee hourly staff across multiple manufacturing departments, ensuring efficient operations, quality adherence, and schedule discipline. The role emphasizes organizing workflows and coaching teams for peak performance.

You will drive lean initiatives, supervise daily operations, and train staff to maintain a safety‑conscious, compliant, and flexible workforce in a collaborative, results‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience in operations and supervisory roles.
• Familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• CPR and First Aid training or ability to obtain.
• Ability to use critical thinking to make important decisions.
• Ability to react quickly to production challenges.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to hourly employees in a manufacturing environment and manage workflow and productivity.
• Transfer knowledge for training and ensure guidance to direct reports.
• Communicate with managers on operating conditions and implement improvements.
• Monitor labor and machine reporting to ensure efficiency and standard methods.
• Utilize manufacturing software for materials management and shop floor scheduling.
• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and resolve issues timely and efficiently.
• Ensure safety compliance and administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Evaluate performance, attendance and support wage adjustments and promotions.
