Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Connersville, Indiana is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist to design, implement and review procedures and equipment in the production flow. You will focus on lean improvements to meet demand while upholding safety and quality.

The role requires evaluating processes, planning layouts, coordinating maintenance, and supporting new program launches. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing engineering, knowledge of CNC programming, and the ability to work the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing engineering discipline.
• 1+ years knowledge of CNC programming.
• 2nd shift (start no later than 3:00 pm)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control.
• Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods.
• Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
• Development of process documentation, including SOP's, process routings, PFMEAs, process flow diagrams, and error proofing plans.
• Lead the tryout and evaluation of new machinery, tooling, and equipment.
• Development of cost estimates for new and major programs, often working from early concept cross sections, concept drawings, concurrent engineering discussions, and evolving assumptions.
• Experience with statistical qualification of machinery, equipment, and gages, and the ability to improve and document our methods for completing these tasks.
