Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree is required.
• Experience with LEAN practices (5s, Kaizen, Standard Work).
• Broad experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
• Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
• Ability to apply evaluation and modification of standard plant techniques.
• Proficiency in implementing 5S for workplace organization.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Two years of job related experience.
• Ability to operate and use a computer.
• Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to meet deadlines, concentration and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and train other employees.
• Ability to wear safety glasses and PPE and follow safety practices.
• Must work 12-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday, possible overtime/on-call.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety practices and SOPs to perform work safely.
• Maintain a safe environment, address unsafe acts, participate in safety meetings.
• Supervise department to meet safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate on-the-job training and development of subordinates’ skills.
• Facilitate communication between crew operations and management.
• Maintain production, spoilage and downtime records.
• Lead problem solving for production, quality and safety issues.
• Monitor machine parts and supplies for production equipment.
• Evaluate products for quality compliance.
