Job summary

Sonoco in Frenchtown, NJ, is seeking a Shift Supervisor responsible for safety, quality, productivity and material handling on the assigned shift. You will lead safety processes, coordinate scheduling to meet demand, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, science or engineering (strongly preferred) and at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Base salary ranges with bonus opportunities are provided.

Responsibilities

• Teach and lead the safety process for the assigned shift.
• Coordinate production scheduling on shift to meet customer demands, manage overtime, minimize inventory, and reduce costs.
• Direct shift in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools.
• Build and maintain productive relationships to foster employee engagement and satisfaction.
• Provide direction, training, and development of hourly employees on the shift; counsel or discipline as needed.
• Identify, propose, and implement capital projects to improve operational performance.
