Job summary

Materion Corporation in Massachusetts seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the production department, including processes, equipment and safety, across shifts. You will lead, train and manage staff to meet quality and quantity targets while coordinating with planning and maintenance to resolve delays.

Strong English communication, 3–5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing, and knowledge of lean methodologies are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to communicate proficiently in English, both oral and written.
• Lean methodologies familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Directs the activities of production employees, including hiring, motivating, training and performance management.
• Monitors production levels and reports delays; estimates time of delay when production will resume.
• Ensures that established policies, rules, regulations and procedures are followed in all areas of production.
• Maintains the established schedule by coordinating movement of parts through production process working with supply chain to set weekly capacity based on equipment availability, manpower and raw materials.
