Job summary

Armstrong World Industries, Marietta, PA, is hiring an Operations Manager responsible for 24/7 accountability of production line performance. You will lead production Supervisors and Value Stream Specialists, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety, quality, and cost goals are met across multiple functions.

The role requires strong Lean and Six Sigma experience, supervisory skills, and the ability to develop teams while engaging leadership across the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of supervisory/operations experience in industrial production.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; basic SAP and Minitab skills; maintenance systems knowledge including PM/PdM.

Responsibilities

• Promotes Plant Safety process and maintains high-level awareness of safety policies.
• Guides supervisors in policy interpretation and union contracts; assists with non-routine personnel issues.
• Drives Lean processes and layered auditing; supports continuous improvement and cost performance.
• Leads value stream operations to meet customer and regulatory requirements and drives productivity.
• Manages manpower planning to meet production schedules; fosters employee relations and engagement.
• Supports training and development; promotes housekeeping and Lean events to reduce costs.
