GE HealthCare is offering a Lean Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Co-Op in Madison. You will learn and eventually teach Lean, driving problem solving and continuous improvement across the site.

The role involves daily management tasks, short-term problem solving, and long-term kaizen projects tied to the Madison Transformation Plan. You will work on anesthesia production line safety/efficiency and the Heartbeat Business System, with opportunities for training and networking.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment at an accredited college or university (Bachelor's preferred).
  • Target majors include Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations Management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a diverse team.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply Lean tools to current processes.
  • Support daily management, problem solving, and kaizen events.
  • Collaborate on improving safety and efficiency in production lines.
  • Participate in training, networking, and best-practice sharing.

Job Description Summary

The Lean Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Co-Op in Madison will have the opportunity to learn and eventually teach Lean, driving problem solving and continuous improvement throughout the site. Work will incorporate aspects of daily management, short-term problem solving, and long-term projects and kaizen events tied to the Madison Transformation Plan. Key focuses include developing processes to support Safety and Efficiency of Anesthesia Production Line, transforming the production and flow of test assembly stations, and the incorporation of the Heartbeat Business System.

Required Qualifications
