Job summary

GE HealthCare in Madison is seeking a Lean Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Co-Op to learn and eventually teach Lean, driving problem solving and continuous improvement across the site.

You will engage in daily management, tackle short-term issues, and contribute to long-term kaizen events tied to the Madison Transformation Plan, focusing on safety and efficiency of the anesthesia production line.

Qualifications

• Enrollment at an accredited college or university (Bachelor's preferred).
• Target majors include Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations Management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support improvement opportunities in operation work sequence, content, and WIP inventory.
• Assist with material handling and daily management tasks.
• Contribute to training and problem solving efforts across teams.

Key focuses include developing processes to support Safety and Efficiency of Anesthesia Production Line, transforming the production and flow of test assembly stations, and the incorporation of the Heartbeat Business System.

Required Qualifications

• Enrollment at an accredited college or university (Bachelor's preferred)
• Target majors include Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations Management
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently and in teams
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a diverse team
