Actalent is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer Lean/Industrial Engineering focus in McMinnville, OR. The role concentrates on Lean and continuous-improvement initiatives on the shop floor, partnering with production leads to boost efficiency and standardize work.

You will apply 5S, value stream mapping, and time studies to help optimize layouts and processes. You will work hands-on with operators and supervisors, drive data-driven improvements, and support automation opportunities while ensuring

Formación

• BS in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 1-3+ years of professional experience on a manufacturing shop floor a plus.
• Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement experience preferred.
• Experience creating and updating standard work, time studies, and labor standards.

Responsabilidades

• Spend majority of time on shop floor with leads and supervisors to identify improvements.
• Observe processes to find bottlenecks and propose practical efficiency solutions.
• Conduct detailed time studies and establish labor standards.
• Analyze production data in Excel to evaluate efficiency, capacity, downtime and costs.
• Lead root-cause problem solving sessions to prevent recurrence.
• Plan and lead value stream mapping events to design improved workflows.
• Drive 5S standards and improve plant layouts for productivity and safety.
• Create and maintain standardized work instructions for operators.
• Identify opportunities for automation and evaluate ROI.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams during new equipment implementation.
