Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to enhance metal fabrication processes on the production floor. You will develop tooling, fixtures, and workflows, supporting new product introductions and process launches with an emphasis on safety and quality.

The role requires hands-on experience with welding, laser cutting, forming, automation, and cost-focused process improvements, working closely with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in manufacturing with fabrication exposure.
• A.S. degree in a technical/engineering field.
• Hands-on experience with welding, forming, laser cutting, assembly, automation, and metal finishing.
• Experience designing fixtures, gauges, and tooling with CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Improve processes with safety, quality, delivery, and productivity emphasis.
• Design inspection gauges and fixtures using SOLIDWORKS/other CAD tools.
• Develop sheet metal fabrication workflows, layouts, and work instructions.
• Create/read blueprints, process drawings, and manufacturing instructions.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive Lean/continuous improvement to cut costs and boost efficiency.
• Support part quoting with manufacturing input and cost knowledge.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet specs and quality.
