Job summary

TEEMA Group in Richmond, VA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design efficient layouts, workstations and material handling for new and existing facilities. You will own key areas like process design, line layout and lean manufacturing concepts with a hands-on approach to data-driven improvements.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 3–5 years in manufacturing, and proficiency with SolidWorks/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing trained preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing role.
• Experience with Statistical Analysis and Operations Research as an asset.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including cross-functional work.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of SAP and Acumatica are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop efficient layouts, workstations, and material handling for new and existing facilities.
• Own, lead, and execute key areas: manufacturing process design, line layout, lean concepts.
• Hands-on process development, time studies, and data analysis to boost efficiency.
• Develop sketches, engineering drawings, and computations as needed.
• Structured problem solving and root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
• Develop FMEA in support of process design and documentation.
• Provide and deliver project status reports.
• Support equipment and process efficiency goals and budgets.
• Collaborate across departments and projects to meet objectives.
