Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Appleton, WI is seeking a process improvement engineer to study assembly lines and identify Lean-based enhancements. You will perform time studies, line balancing, and current/future state value stream mapping to reveal bottlenecks and wastes.

You will develop improvement roadmaps, write Standard Work and video work instructions, and lead root-cause analysis for quality issues with detailed implementation plans. Fixture design support may be involved.

Qualifications

• Experience applying Lean principles to assembly lines.
• Ability to perform time studies and line balancing.
• Development of current and future state value stream maps (VSM).
• Capability to identify bottlenecks, wastes and inefficiencies and provide actionable improvement roadmaps.
• Development of Standard Work Instructions and video work instructions.
• Root cause analysis for quality issues and support in Kaizen/improvement plans.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly lines and identify areas for improvement per Lean principles.
• Perform time study and line balancing for all processes (stations & operators).
• Develop Current State and Future State Value Stream Maps and perform capacity analysis.
• Identify improvement opportunities and prepare Level 1–3 improvement roadmaps.
• Develop/write Standard Work Instructions and video work instructions.
• Analyze root causes for defects and downtime; support corrective actions and Kaizen planning.
• Support fixture design as required.
