Job summary

Actalent seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to provide day-to-day line support and troubleshoot processes. You will collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to drive improvements across safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

The role involves root cause analysis, Lean projects, and initiatives to reduce costs and improve yield on the shop floor. The work environment is on-site in Dubuque, IA with opportunities to lead cross-functional improvements and enhance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and quality engineering.
• 2-5 years of industry experience preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing and maintenance troubleshooting.
• Lean manufacturing green or black belt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day line support and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
• Drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Perform problem solving and root cause analysis with production teams.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing techniques.
• Lead cost reduction and yield improvement initiatives.
• Utilize project management tools.
• Improve equipment capability and reliability.
• Identify opportunities for error proofing and implement solutions.
