Job summary

Igus-Bearings,-Inc. is seeking a Lean Manufacturing Engineer in Rumford, RI to identify and implement process improvements. You will lead cross‑functional teams, analyze production flows, and drive waste reduction using Lean, Six Sigma, and CI methods.

The role focuses on developing SOPs, visual controls, and best practices while collaborating with engineering, quality, and production to optimize layouts and performance metrics. Strong communication and mentoring are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and CI methodologies.
• Certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support cross-functional teams on process improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Analyze data to identify waste, variation, and inefficiency.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation.
• Develop and deploy SOPs, visual controls, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to enhance process design and layout.
• Monitor KPIs to assess improvement outcomes and sustainability.
• Train and mentor team members on continuous improvement principles and tools.
• Support new product introductions by ensuring Lean process integration.
• Document and communicate progress, successes, and lessons learned.
