Job summary

Inalfa Roof Systems seeks an Industrial Engineer to advance lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. You will plan labor standards, takt times, and layout development across manufacturing facilities, coordinating with cross-functional teams to optimize packaging, workflow, and process controls.

The role emphasizes DFM/DFX, facility layout planning, and cost-saving initiatives while ensuring safe, ergonomic production practices in a dynamic automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Knowledge of assembly processes and material flow.
• Knowledge of machine design, sensors, pneumatics, electrical, and machine controls.
• Ability to conduct time studies and interpret results for decision making.
• Knowledge of packaging containers and material.
• Ability to quantify financial information.
• Ergonomics and human movement considerations in processes.
• Understanding of safety regulations and logistics (domestic and international).
• CAD skills and ability to work cross-functionally with customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities.
• Conduct time studies to keep labor standards current.
• Develop work elements and takt times for processes.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through labor and process improvements.
• Maintain and develop facility layouts and drawings.
• Plan studies for new manufacturing facilities and dock/warehouse optimization.
• Overlap packaging design with ergonomic guidelines and line presentation.
• Support manufacturability through DFM/DFX analyses and cross-functional studies.
• Develop equipment plans considering automation, ergonomics, and balance.
