Job summary

Lorven Technologies Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for a long-term, onsite role in Huntsville, TX. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity, and apply Lean tools to optimize machining and assembly processes.

You'll develop KPIs, support automation initiatives, manage projects from charters to benefits, and coach teams on Lean manufacturing and problem-solving techniques including 5 Why, fishbone, and CAPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement experience in a machine shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes and CNC operations.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and manufacturing data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects focused on SQDCP.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing tools (VSM, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, SMED).
• Identify waste and bottlenecks in machining operations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and visual management boards for shop floor performance.
• Analyze machining processes to improve cycle times, throughput, and machine utilization.
• Support automation and Industry 4.0 technologies where applicable.
• Improve workflow and material movement using Lean principles.
• Collaborate with maintenance to improve OEE and downtime.
• Lead root cause investigations (5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA) and CAPA.
• Manage improvement projects from concept through implementation with charters, schedules and budgets.
