Lorven Technologies Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for a long-term, onsite role in Huntsville, TX. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity, and apply Lean tools to optimize machining and assembly processes.

You'll develop KPIs, support automation initiatives, manage projects from charters to benefits, and coach teams on Lean manufacturing and problem-solving techniques including 5 Why, fishbone, and CAPA.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement experience in a machine shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes and CNC operations.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and manufacturing data analysis tools.

Aufgaben

• Manage improvement projects from concept through implementation with charters, schedules and budgets.

Position: Manufacturing Engineer

What You will Do:

• Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP).
• Apply Lean Manufacturing tools including:
• Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
• 5S
• Standard Work
• Visual Management
• SMED (Quick Changeover)
• Identify waste and bottlenecks within machining operations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and visual management boards for shop floor performance.

Manufacturing Process Optimization

• Analyze machining processes to improve cycle times, throughput, and machine utilization.
• Optimize machining, drilling, welding, milling, turning, grinding, polishing, and secondary operations.
• Conduct time studies and capacity analyses to support production planning.
• Support implementation of automation and Industry 4.0 technologies where applicable.
• Improve workflow and material movement using Lean principles.

Equipment Performance & Reliability

• Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Analyze machine downtime and develop corrective action plans.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives.
• Participate in capital equipment selection, installation, and validation.

Quality Improvement

• Investigate product and process non-conformances.
• Lead root cause investigations using:
• 5 Why Analysis
• Fishbone Diagrams
• FMEA
• Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)
• Work with Quality Engineering to reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints.

Project Management

• Manage improvement projects from concept through implementation.
• Develop project charters, schedules, budgets, and KPI tracking.
• Present project results to management and leadership teams.
• Ensure projects deliver measurable financial and operational benefits.
• Act as a change agent promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Train and coach employees on Lean Manufacturing tools and best practices.
• Facilitate daily Gemba walks and problem-solving activities.
• Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements.
