Job summary

Rochester Sensors seeks an Applications Engineer II in Coppell, TX to support manufacturing and product development. The role demands cross-functional leadership, design for manufacturability guidance, and a focus on continuous improvement in a non-remote, on-site environment.

The candidate will drive capital and non-capital projects, lead kaizen events, and contribute to early design input for new products, ensuring readiness for production ramps across multiple plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of technical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering data management systems and engineering change order/process flows.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary interface between Manufacturing, Engineering departments, and plants.
• Facilitate the development and execution of CI projects.
• Provide DFx guidance during design and development of new products.
• Develop tooling, fixtures and test platforms to support capacity requirements.
• Lead NPIs efforts for production ramp and balance production between plants.
