Job summary

Rochester Sensors, LLC in Coppell, TX seeks an Electrical Engineer to design new printed circuit boards and upgrade existing boards to meet cost and availability goals. Responsibilities include design support, testing, troubleshooting, and helping with customer-driven product development.

The role requires hands-on PCB work, prototype builds, and collaboration with manufacturing and outside labs. This is a full-time, on-site position local to the DFW area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of electronics design and testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of test equipment such as DMMs and oscilloscopes.
• Proficient with PCB schematic and layout software.
• Experience with PCB rework and microprocessor circuits.

Responsibilities

• Maintains documentation in accordance with quality assurance standards.
• Prepares documents for department manager review and approval including design support, test plans and reports.
• Supports the design of new electronic and sensor products or modifications of existing products.
• Constructs prototypes and pre-production samples of new or modified products.
• Designs, constructs and troubleshoots fixtures and test equipment to support manufacturing.
• Coordinates with customers to address new work and resolve difficulties.
