Job summary

American Air Filter International seeks a Site Continuous Improvement Manager to drive efficiency and cost reduction across our Florida facility. You will develop value streams from procurement to order fulfillment, lead Kaizen events, and implement Daikin Production System practices to improve throughput and process discipline.

You will work with engineering and operations to optimize layouts, apply 5S, and use data-driven methods to set targets, track progress, and embed continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or similar Technical degree program.
• 3-7+ years manufacturing, technical or R & D experience.
• Lean Manufacturing training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop a manufacturing map of current and future state value streams (from procurement to order fulfillment).
• Develops, observes, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and processes to reduce costs.
• Review and analysis of space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Confers with engineering staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
• Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
• Lead the implementation of 5S and visual management initiatives throughout the facility.
• Leads Kaizen events for site-based teams, driving rapid improvements and spreading the knowledge of the Daikin Production System.
