Job Description Summary

The Flight Deck Lean Leader plays an integral role in executing the Company’s priorities and lean transformation. This role functions as a project manager, liaison, lean technician, and lean coach, focusing on the company's highest priorities. The position requires a toolbox of project management, lean, and facilitation skills to foster a culture of action and continuous improvement. "Flight Deck" refers to our Lean process at GE Aerospace and ERAC.

Location

This role can be in-office or remote, US only.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support and collaborate with the Leader of Strategy and Execution and leadership to:
  • Partner with teams to execute key strategies and initiatives with a bias to action and a lean mindset.
  • Support the development and implementation of procedures, policies, and strategies to standardize the companywide LEAN program.
  • Serve as a facilitator, educator, advocate, and consultant for Lean, promoting understanding and application of Lean principles and tools across the business, including:
  • Collaborate with functional teams to develop a lean culture and drive continuous improvement aligned with company initiatives.
  • Apply lean tools in managing and executing key priorities.
  • Encourage learning and risk-taking for continuous improvement.
  • Model project management and lean principles and tools.
  • Maintain proficiency in the latest Lean approaches through networking, participation in GE Lean organizations, and external resources.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience solving problems and transforming business performance using project management and Lean techniques.
  • Lean practitioner capable of facilitating problem-solving events and coaching core tools such as Daily Visual Management, structured Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and Transactional Process Improvement.
  • Project management experience using agile and other methodologies to support project execution.
  • Proven effectiveness in driving outcomes, accountability, trustworthiness, credibility, and intellectual agility.
  • Ability to act as a change agent, demonstrating the value of lean, gaining buy-in, and driving cultural change.
  • Highly collaborative, comfortable with constructive conflict and debate related to change.
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to align others, even with conflicting priorities.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range is $113,200 - $151,000 annually, influenced by experience, education, and skills. The position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or commission. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, health coaching, 24/7 nurse resource, Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) with company matching, tuition and adoption assistance, paid parental leave, disability, life insurance, and paid time off.
