Job description

**Job Description Summary**

The Flight Deck Lean Leader plays an integral role in executing the Company’s priorities and lean transformation. The Flight Deck Leader is a project manager, liaison, lean technician, and lean coach for the execution of the company’s highest priorities. This position draws on project management, lean, and facilitation skills to develop a culture of action and continuous improvement. "Flight Deck" refers to our Lean process for GE Aerospace and ERAC.

ERAC, Employers Reassurance Corporation, is a corporate holding of GE Aerospace. We support long-term care insurance, structured settlements, life insurance, and other insurance products.

This role can be based in the office or remote, US only.

**Job Description**

**Roles and Responsibilities**

  1. The Flight Deck Leader supports and collaborates with the Leader of Strategy and Execution and Leadership to:
  2. Partner with teams to execute key strategies and initiatives with a bias toward action and a lean mindset;
  3. Support the establishment and implementation of procedures, policies, and strategies to ensure consistency and standardization of a companywide LEAN program;
  4. Serve as a facilitator, educator, advocate, and consultant for Lean, promoting understanding and application of Lean principles and tools across the business, including:
  5. Collaboration with functional teams to develop lean culture and drive continuous improvement aligned with company initiatives;
  6. Apply lean tools in managing and executing key priorities;
  7. Encourage learning and risk-taking for continuous improvement;
  8. Model project management principles and tools;
  9. Maintain proficiency in the latest Lean approaches through networking and participation in GE and external Lean organizations and conferences.

**Required Qualifications**

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience solving problems and transforming business performance using project management and Lean techniques;
  • Lean practitioner capable of facilitating problem-solving events and coaching core tools like Daily Visual Management, Structured Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, and Transactional Process Improvement;
  • Experience as a project manager using agile and other methodologies to support project execution;
  • Proven effectiveness in driving outcomes, demonstrating accountability, trustworthiness, credibility, commitment, and agility;
  • Ability to act as a change agent, demonstrating the value of lean and fostering cultural change;
  • Highly collaborative, comfortable with constructive conflict and debate;
  • Critical thinker capable of bringing others along, even with conflicting priorities.

The base pay range for this position is $113,200 - $151,000 annually, influenced by experience, education, and skills. The role includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus or commission, healthcare benefits, retirement plans, tuition and adoption assistance, paid parental leave, disability, life insurance, and paid time off.
