Job summary

Overhead Door Corporation in Pensacola, FL seeks an Industrial Engineer to design, improve and sustain safe, reliable manufacturing systems aligned with SQDCCP priorities.

You will conduct time studies, set labor standards, balance lines, and optimize material flow using ASD Lean practices, Data analytics with Excel and Power BI, and ERP systems.

This on-site role requires collaboration with operators, supervisors and value stream managers to deliver measurable improvements and sustainment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in time studies, labor standards, line balancing, capacity analysis, layout design, ergonomics and Lean problem solving.
• Ability to analyze operational data and communicate recommendations clearly.
• Proficiency with Excel and reading engineering drawings; familiarity with ERP or manufacturing data systems.
• Ability to lead projects without direct supervisory authority across shifts and functions.

Responsibilities

• Apply safety rules and partner with EHS to identify and reduce risks.
• Conduct time studies, work sampling and method analysis; develop labor standards.
• Create standard work, labor-balance charts and staffing models.
• Develop capacity models and improve throughput via line balancing and setup reduction.
• Support Materials and Planning with capacity, routing and run-rate inputs.
• Design plant layouts and optimize material flow.
• Train operators and supervisors; develop cross-functional capability.
